MEDICATION and Sharps disposal

To properly dispose of medication, take medications out of the bottles and place them in a zip lock bag. Liquids, powders and ointments must be in a tightly closed container, with identifying information removed, then placed in the ziplock bag. Never pour medication down the drain, flush down toilets or dispose in trash bins. DO NOT place sharps (needles) or illegal drugs in the kiosks. SHARPS (NEEDLES) DISPOSAL

In order to properly dispose sharps, they must be in a small puncture proof container, such as a water bottle or something similar, with a secure lid and labeled “sharps”. Loose needles will NOT be accepted. NEVER dispose sharps in trash bins or flush down toilets.
